Large Image of Thomas Hennebry House

The Thomas Hennebry Home is a 2½-story Queen Anne shingle style structure built in 1894. The asymmetrically massed structure is dominated by two whimsical towers completely covered in cut cedar shingles and topped with metal finials. The house is topped with a steeply pitched hip roof with a central chimney. Mr. Hennebry was a well-known Joliet businessman who owned a dry goods store and an entire business block at the northeast corner of Cass and Chicago Streets in downtown Joliet. The structure is a Local Landmark and is part of the Upper Bluff National Register and Local Districts.
