Meinert/Winterstein House — 1503 Sterling Avenue
The Meinert/Winterstein House is a one-story Colonial-style Gordon-Van Tine Catalog house built by the original owner in 1926. The “kit” or “catalog” house was shipped by boxcar and assembled on site by Thomas A. Meinert. The house features a front gable roof and center entry door flanked by multi-paned sidelights and covered by a front-gabled pediment. An open front porch extends the full width of the house. A pair of six-over-one double-hung sash windows flank each side of the front door. The structure is a Local Landmark and part of the Catalog House Thematic District.
