C. Louis and Lydia F. Pearce House — 815 Buell Avenue
The C. Louis and Lydia Pearce House is a 2-story, Vernacular Foursquare/Prairie style brick structure built in 1922 on a concrete block foundation. The residence, built by Joliet architect Rudolph Hoen, is distinguished by a pyramidal hip roof with projecting dormers and Prairie style, nine-over-one and multi-light–over-one windows. The Prairie style is also shown in the open brick porch supported on two massive, corbel brick columns. The structure is a Local Landmark.
