The City of Joliet has implemented a web-based, electronic plan review system to provide a modern and efficient process for receiving, reviewing, and issuing building permits.  With ePlans, communication and plan review are accessible through a central portal – allowing architects, engineers, contractors, and permit expediters to submit applications, drawings, and other documents for review.

Throughout review, applicants have access to real-time status, email updates, and the ability to see comments/revision requests as review commences.

To begin the application and review process, please submit the Applicant Form to eplansadmin@joliet.gov.  We will create the project, and the portal will send an invitation email from DoNotReplyJOILP@avolvesoftware.com

Step #1: Complete Application Forms

Complete the applicable application(s) below:

Email the completed applications to eplansadmin@joliet.gov.  DO NOT send plans at this stage of submittal. Any incomplete applications will be returned. Once the application has been processed, you will receive an email invitation to upload your plans and documents into ePlans.
