Application for Alarm Registration
Per City of Joliet Ordinance #8291 no person shall operate a remote alarm system without a valid alarm system license. After a certain amount of false alarms, businesses and residences may be invoiced for police and fire responses to each false alarm. Questions about alarm system registration can be directed to jpdalarm@joliet.gov. 

Birthday Squad Request
The Joliet Police Department is not participating in, leading, or organizing ANY parades. Upon request, a Police Officer may stop by a birthday child’s house to flash the emergency lights and sirens.

Gangs - Awareness, Prevention, Intervention
“Gangs: Awareness, Prevention, Intervention,” is an educational book that provides details about the tattoos, clothing, graffiti, and hand signals that identify the main gangs operating in Will County. More importantly, the book discusses the means by which street gangs recruit members, and it outlines strategies and services aimed at steering at-risk teenagers away from gang influences. This book was provided by the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Illinois Domestic Violence Victim Information Form
Provided to victims of Domestic Violations that contain information about Orders of Protection, Criminal Charges, Bail Bond Provisions, and Crisis/Outreach resources.

Not-For-Profit Solicitation on Streets Permit Application 
This application must be completed prior to engaging in solicitations on a public highway or street in the City of Joliet. Complete the form and return it to the City of Joliet’s Business Services Division. Questions about this form should be directed to Business Services at (815) 724-3905.

Open Air Meeting (Block Party) Application
This application must be completed and turned in to the City of Joliet’s Cultural Affairs Division at least four weeks prior to the event. Questions should be directed to the Cultural Affairs Manager at (815) 724-3761.

Solicitor Permit Application
The City of Joliet requires solicitors to obtain a permit prior to engaging in business in the City’s limits. The application must be completed and turned in at the Joliet Police Department’s front desk along with a $30 per person application fee.

Sound Amplification Permit
The City of Joliet requires events with loud sound amplification to obtain a permit prior to the event. Complete the form and return it to the City of Joliet’s Business Services Division, along with a $20 per permit application fee.. Severe Weather Preparedness
Preparing for severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and floods will not only benefit you during the spring and summer months, but all year round. In fact, almost half of all tornadoes reported in Illinois the past three years (2012-2014) have occurred in fall or winter! We typically see the “peak” of severe weather season from April through June; however recent weather events have proven that we need to be “Weather Ready” in Illinois the entire year.
