Long-Awaited City Square Approved by Joliet City Council
An area adjacent to the historic Joliet Rialto Square Theater will be getting a total makeover thanks to the approval of the City Council. The project known as City Square, has been in the works since the city completed the Downtown Joliet Plan in 2015.

STONE STREET ROAD CLOSURE FROM CENTER STREET TO HICKORY STREET TO BEGIN FRIDAY, JUNE 28, 2024
In association with reconstruction of Stone Street, the new water main installation work will close Stone Street between Center Street and Hickory Street, beginning Friday, June 28, 2024, for approximately 3 weeks. No detour will be posted.

Laraway Road at the UP Rail Crossing Road Closure
Joliet is announcing the closure of Laraway Road at the UP Rail Crossing from 6:00am on Saturday, June 22 until 9:00pm on Sunday, June 23. This closure is needed to complete repairs to the railroad crossing. This will be a complete road closure. No detour will be posted for this closure.
