Spencer Road (Cherry Hill Road to Gougar Road) Road Closure
Spencer Road between Cherry Hill Road and Gougar Road will be closed beginning Monday, July 10, 2023 for roadway reconstruction. It is anticipated that the work will be completed and the road reopened to vehicular traffic on Friday, September 15, 2023.

City of Joliet American with Disabilities Act Transition Plan- Comments Welcome
The City of Joliet has conducted a self-evaluation of its facilities within public rights of way and has developed a Public Right-of-Way ADA Transition Plan detailing how the organization will ensure that all of those facilities are accessible to all individuals.

Independence Celebration at Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park Monday, July 3, 2023
This year’s launch site has been moved to the Riverwalk at Bicentennial Park, Des Plaines Street will be closed at noon on Monday, July 3, 2023 between Jefferson St., and Washington. Parking spaces along the river and the city hall lot on the westside of the building will also be closed.

Jackson Street at Union Pacific Rail Crossing Road Closure
Jackson Street between Scott Street and State Street will be closed beginning Tuesday, June 20, 2023 for improvements to the Union Pacific rail crossing. It is anticipated that work will be completed and the road reopened to vehicular traffic on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. Detour routes will be posted.
