Education

Joliet is home to two higher education institutions-Joliet Junior College and the University of St. Francis. The University of St. Francis is a Catholic-Franciscan liberal arts university with approximately 3,700 students. It offers traditional undergraduate, graduate, doctoral programs as well as online, adult undergraduate and professional certificate programs. Joliet Junior College is the nation’s first public community college and operates two sites within the City limits. The Main Campus and the new Joliet City Center Campus both provide quality degree and vocational education to approximately 30,000 students each year.  Joliet Township High School District 204 and Joliet Public School District 86 as well as numerous private education options exist within Joliet as well.
