Work Completed:

• The new water mains on Van Buren and on Chicago Street, south of Van Buren were pressurized and chlorinated for testing
• The contractor completed installation of the new water main through the former surface parking lots
• Installation of the new 12” water main north to Clinton Street began   
• The replacement of the sanitary sewer main in the middle of Chicago Street was completed to just south of Clinton Street
• The new sanitary sewer services were installed to Clinton Street

Activities to occur week of September 16:

• Pending approved chlorination samples, water service replacements will begin on Van Buren Street and then on Chicago Street from Jefferson moving north
• The 12” water main installation will be completed to the south side of Clinton Street
• The new water mains in the City Square and on Chicago Street between Van Buren and Clinton will be pressurized for testing
• Storm sewer installations will begin at the south end of the project near Jefferson Street
• Com Ed crews will be excavating and adjusting below ground ducts at Clinton & Scott Streets
• Daytime lane closures can be expected at Chicago & Clinton, and at Clinton and Scott Streets
