Louis Jolliet: A Solid Path Through Water

  • Introduction: Louis Jolliet: A Solid Path Through Water, is a one act, one person play written and performed by Jim Healy, in honor of the 350th anniversary of the voyage of Father Jacques Marquette and Louis Jolliet down the Mississippi River.

Their four month voyage began May 17th, 1673. Although Jolliet returned to Quebec, Father Marquette died on his return journey.

ABOUT JIM HEALY
While raising his family in Joliet, he became involved with Bicentennial Park community theatre, landing in lead roles in "Fiddler on the Roof," followed by "Guys and Dolls." Jim is a popular speaker and writer. In his “other life,” he is a psychologist by training. In 2019, Jim received an honorary doctorate in the Humanities from Lewis University for his work helping families.
