Frida Kahlo - Elements of "Timeless"

Joliet, Illinois 60432 - Introduction: The Joliet Public Library (JPL) is proud to announce our partnership with the College of DuPage’s McAninch Arts Center to host the exhibit from September 17-October 16. The exhibit is sponsored by Old National Bank.
The Library invites the community to attend the opening night of the Elements of "Timeless" exhibit on Sunday, September 17 from 2-4 p.m.
At the event:
-Guest Speaker Diana Martinez, Director of McAninch Arts Center at the College of DuPage will discuss her experience researching and creating the exhibit
-Scavenger Hunt: First 50 people to successfully complete the scavenger hunt will get a coupon for free ice cream at the event
-Taco Truck: Tacos for sale from Sunshine Mexican Cafe
-Performance by Mariachi de Joliet: 40 piece mariachi band'
Join us for this free event and check out our newest exhibit!
Although the exhibit will not feature original artwork, it will feature recreations of Frida’s bed, Frida’s dresses, corsets, and a model of Frida’s blue house, all on loan from the McAninch Arts Center. There will also be a children’s area to encourage artwork, learning and play.
