Tim Placher presents “Nashville Night,” an evening of singer/songwriters from “Music City,” Nashville, TN!
Ava Suppelsa – daughter of former WGN News anchorman, Mark Suppelsa, Ava is already an accomplished singer/songwriter in Nashville, having signed a publishing deal in 2020 with King Pen Music, publishing home of The Brothers Osborne. An alum of Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and Berklee College of Music in Boston, Ava has already had songs recorded by Keith Urban, Jaime O’Neil (“There’s No Arizona), John Paul White (of The Civil Wars) and a capella Country supergroup Home Free.
Tristan Bushman – An Indie/Folk songwriter and performer originally from Ashton, IL, Tristan is an artist with Reservoir Publishing (Sheryl Crow, Ben Harper) and has just released the first single, “Carried Away,” from his upcoming EP on Soundfly Records.
Makena Hartlin – Makena, a two-time winner of $10,000 Chicago singing contests, moved to Nashville in 2020 to pursue her songwriting and performing career. She’s the co-host of “The Pitch Pipes,” a female songwriter/performer showcase based in Nashville, and is a regular member of “The Pitch Meeting” night at Sonny’s. She has already performed with Gavin DeGraw and “Lady A’s” Charles Kelley.
Tabitha Meeks – Originally from south Florida, Tabitha is a Nashville singer, songwriter, and pianist. Trained in classical and jazz piano, her songwriting is a combination of folk and the genres she has studied on the piano. She is part of “The Pitch Meeting” band and co-hosts the female showcase “The Pitch Pipes” with Makena Hartlin. Tabitha’s debut EP is due out in Fall, 2021.
Evie – Evie is a brand new Nashville duo comprised of singer/songwriters Sierra Cassidy and Emily Amber. Growing up on the shores of Michigan’s Leelenau Peninsula, Sierra attended the Interlochen Arts Academy, then studied songwriting at Berklee College of Music under the tutelage of noteworthy songwriters Livingston Taylor and Paula Cole. Emily, raised in Nashville, has been writing and performing since her early teens. Her song collaborations have been streamed more than 1 million times, and she’s played notable Nashville venues like “The Listening Room” and “Third and Lindsay,” as well as festivals such as South By Southwest.
Michael Gannon – A singer, songwriter, and slide guitar specialist, Mike has shared the stage with Derek Trucks of the Allman Brothers Band and Jim Belushi and The Blue Brothers. His innovative mix of styles creates music that feels familiar but breaks new ground. He is principal guitarist and vocalist for Nashville’s “Pitch Meeting” band.
