Home MenuAmbulance Billing
The Joliet Fire Department Emergency Medical Service is comprised of over 204 paramedics, 9 front line ambulances, 9 ALS non-transport units, and numerous other units that have basic life support (BLS) equipment. All fire engines have 12 lead cardiac monitors and ladder trucks are equipped with monitoring AED's and many times will respond to assist the ALS (advanced life support) ambulances.
Most individuals have some type of medical insurance (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid) and are covered for ambulance transports in the case of an emergency.
Our goal is high quality care delivered by courteous medics. Any questions or complaints may be directed to 815-724-3553.
Medicare
According to the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) all providers of service must accept assignments. The carrier for Medicare in the State Of Illinois is WPS (Wisconsin Physician Services). All Medicare bills will be sent to WPS electronically and if the service was considered a Medical Necessity it will be billed accordingly.
